After deliberating over replacing my 3-year-old TicWatch Pro 3, the TicWatch Pro 5 emerged as a contender, despite reservations stemming from issues with the previous model. But I made the leap and I’m happy to say that this is simply the best WearOS has to offer. Here’s a breakdown:
Screen Size and Display Quality:
The TicWatch 5 Pro impresses with generously sized OLED screen featuring minimal bezels. The design is simple yet beautiful. The display is exceptionally crisp and clear, an issue I had with the previous model.
Battery Life:
Respectable battery life, even with intensive use. From workouts to maps and various apps, the consumption averaged around 50% throughout a 16/17-hour day. The secondary display, though I personally don’t use it often, proved to be excellent when needed (flights, trips etc…).
Fitness:
While the watch offers a myriad of sports modes, I found the basics more practical. Notably absent was a specific HIIT general workout mode, but there were others that I used instead. The major improvement was with the heart rate monitor which was very accurate in comparison to other devices. I also used Google Fit which provides a great alternative to the out of the box fitness tracking app.
Speed:
This is a speed demon, delivering a snappy and smooth performance. Navigating through apps and menus is effortless, making it a standout in terms of performance.
Updates:
Historically, software updates were a significant concern for TicWatch users. The TicWatch 5 Pro, running on WearOS 3.5, received an update out of the box, addressing this worry to some extent. While Mobvoi assured commitment to security updates, the vague response regarding upgrading to WearOS 4 remains a potential point of consideration. Buyers should not solely rely on future updates when purchasing this watch.

If you’ve used any Ticwatch in the past, you’ve probably had experience with a variety of different brands of smart watches. Having tried a swath of mainstream company entries and a handful of Ticwatches, I think this is their best entry yet. I’ve put in about two months of use for the 5 Pro and can say this watch runs as smoothly as silk, its battery is a step up, the screen is clearer and more usable than before, and has a great array of features.
I personally don’t use sleep tracking functionality since taking a watch off at the end of the day is like a ritual to me. However, my wife used this watch for a while and she always watches her sleeping habits. This watch provided a variety of stats that she seemed very appreciative of.
It’s running Google Wear OS, and has all the bells and whistles you’d want. Paying with your watch is super convenient. Tracking fitness info is great! All the apps you’d expect on the android ecosystem are all there. And because of how fast this watch feels, it is a premium user experience . The rotating crown let’s you adjust volume and zoom with intuitive design. It feels just as good to use as it does to wear. And that’s notable because of the larger screen with this watch. That size really comes as a benefit for ease of reading and improved usability.
The battery life and charging are maybe the best improvements. I’m a big fan of the always on display, since I don’t want to gyrate my arm to get info from my watch. That info should be there at a glance, not at a flick of the wrist AND a glance – and all of that was just to say that the Always On Display feature can be used without having to worry about the device dying quickly. And even if you’re using the watch for a couple of days, the quick charge functionality lives up to the name. You can get through the day with just a half hour plug in!
Over all, I think this is their best offering yet. If you want a good smart watch for a bit less than the main companies’ products, here’s your winning choice!

Heel performant horloge: snel en een hele goede batterijduur. Was aan het twijfelen tussen een Google watch of deze, maar de batterij heeft de doorslag gegeven. En ik beklaag me mijn keuze zeker niet.

Vou começar comparando.
Tentei uma experiência com o Galaxy Watch 5 (foi bizarra e não recomendo a ninguém).
Comprei o Ticwatch 5, obviamente que o primeiro comparativo foi a péssima experiência que tive com o Samsung e, neste caso, foi amor a primeira vista, uma experiência incrível!
Fiz o mesmo teste do Galaxy (sair sem celular com playlist salva no watch pra correr, com fone de ouvido e fazendo a corrida na rua, com o relógio medindo minha temperatura e estado de atividade física, sendo a tela superficial super útil pois já demonstrava por exemplo a criticidade dos batimentos cardíacos e o relógio deu super conta e uma surpresa ainda mais, a bateria consumiu apenas 12%!
Ele possui um sistema de monitoramento constante que, ao iniciar uma caminhada por exemplo, alguns instantes depois ele entende e já transforma o exercício de saúde para as medições de saúde.
Outro ponto comparativo: Meu relógio anterior foi o Amazfit 2 mini que já é bem efetivo no dia a dia e, para sair de uma experiência dessas (de bateria) para um Wear OS há um grande salto uma vez que o sistema consome bastante bateria
No dia a dia, com poucas notificações, de modo geral a bateria do produto dura entre 2 e 4 dias, mas já chegou a durar 5,5 pois o “essencial mode” é bem eficiente.
O produto chegou no prazo, o relógio é super bonito, funcional… Perfeito eu diria. Combina com social, casual, jeans, absolutamente tudo.
O produto é perfeito?
A resposta é não!
Tenho minhas críticas ao produto sim e são elas:
Faltou um Google Assistant instalado ou compatível;
Existir a possibilidade de travar o “Botão coroa”;
Falta melhor desenvolvimento do App MobVoi;
Existir alguma edição com E-sim.
No mais, acho que muita coisa ainda tende a melhorar porque sua versão acabou de ser lançada e deverá ter novidades e melhorias em breve.
Comprei internacional aqui pela Amazon, de fato não houve cobrança de taxas adicionais. O tempo de entrega entre compra e recebimento foi de 25 dias corridos.
